I spend my days helping chefs and small business owners share who they are and what they do through photography and social media services. “Growing up, the nicest restaurant I had ever been to was Sizzler. We didn’t have a lot of money but some years on our birthday we got to pick a restaurant we wanted to go to with Dad and Sizzler was obviously the nicest restaurant on earth! I didn’t recognize I was such a hard core “foodie” until I married my husband, and WOW. Colors were brighter, food tasted better, life was so much more exciting! You can come to my Instagram account to find positive restaurant reviews and beautiful photos, most being in the Salt Lake Valley, but also peppered with Utah County and out of state restaurants. I dabbled in posting the good and the bad, but seeing how much these chefs and owners put into their creations, I decided to only post the places or dishes I enjoy. My husband is an excellent cook and we love cooking together so I’ll always post our fun dishes too. Thanks for following along, I hope to always keep my followers drooling and inspired.” – Leslie Landsaw

Donut Critic (AKA Benjamin) grew up in the mountains of Utah, refining his dessert palate on one of the state’s hidden bakeries. He’s a former restaurant owner and regrets not purchasing a bakery that was for sale at the time instead, though he does say that the baker hours would have ruined his social life at age 26. This regret only fuels his desire for consuming more desserts and finding the best of the best. Benjamin uses every opportunity during travel to scout, visit, and review restaurants locally, nationally and internationally.

“The concept came to me when I realized I dealt with a lot of my feelings by eating junk food. I thought starting a blog all about me would be therapeutic. For the longest time, I kept my blog and Instagram account a secret. I want to create my own project without anyone giving me opinions or commenting on my work. It was all very personal to me. It took me a long time to share my blog with anybody, but I’m really glad I did. My current goals include making my home more Instagrammable, visiting every ice cream shop in the state, and eat something a little healthier than ice cream for dinner. Current obsession is avocado toast.” – Elizabeth Petersen

“We started Utah Grubs in 2014 after realizing we constantly ate out at the same restaurants without branching out much. Knowing that Utah had an incredible food scene, we thought if we created an account and posted about local restaurants, we would have a place to turn to when we needed a bite to eat on the weekends. We never expected Utah Grubs to grow into what it has today with so many followers. We really enjoy promoting local Utah restaurants and have loved getting to know the Utah foodie community.” – Olivia and Will Gochnour
