Overview

Recently one of our Instagram followers recommended Twigs. We stumbled across it while at fashion place and the food and decor looked good so we decided to give it a try. We had high expectations going in and were disappointed with our experience. It turns out that this is a chain of eleven locations, out of Washington, and they seem to be focusing most on scaling while sacrificing on the quality of their food. Avoid it at all costs.

Value

There was no value. Twigs entrees came with fine dining prices and served Applebees quality food.

3 most popular dishes

Pork Osso Bucco, Twigs Filet, and Pesto Margherita Chicken.

What I ordered

I ordered a cup of veggie soup, Pork Osso Bucco, and a steak dish from the daily specials, as recommended by our waitress.

Food quality

Horrible. The soup tasted like it was from a can and the pepper was overpowering. The Pork Osso Bucco was so tough on the outside that I couldn’t eat it (the inside was tender but the flavor wasn’t there). It came with a parsnip puree that was pretty good but there wasn’t much of it. Some of the asparagus spears were too hard and the sauce on them contained raw garlic. Everything after that just tasted like garlic. The steak was a little tough but the honey carrots were a nice touch.

Ambiance

The ambiance was good. It was dimly lit and fairly quiet considering there were two groups nearby us. The decor seems nice but it made us expect more of the food. The hostess/waitress was very nice and gladly accommodated our toddler. It took about 15 minutes to get our food.

What I liked most

The restaurant had great decor and prompt service.

What I disliked most

The food was way overpriced for the quality.
